Leigh Davenport
Leigh is a native California studio jeweler
whose first encounter with metalwork occurred in Greenwich Village, New
York.
"Interest in Celtic design led me to the
Arts & Crafts Movement as ineluctably as pure Celtic knotwork
reveals itself to be one line. The philosophy upon which the
Arts & Crafts Movement was founded is one that resonates throughout
my life and work."
Since April 1998 Leigh has been a Roycroft
Renaissance Artisan and is allowed use of that mark.
"My home and studio are perched above a
Carmel Highlands cove, not unlike counties on the western Irish coast
that I enjoy visiting and from which I derive a great deal of
inspiration."
